A City Gem
The newest Saints & Stars address is conceived as a vertical members’ club for performance.
Set in the heart of the city and layered over five floors, the club elevates the brand’s boutique DNA into a complete lifestyle stack. Training, recovery and social connection held together by a rigorous choreography of mirror, light and sound.
The brief asked for a next-level space that feels intimate at street level, scales to event energy in the studios, and closes with a calm, indulgent finish in the locker and recovery suites. Our response: an urban gem that uses reflection and programmable light to expand space, guide movement and deliver signature Saints & Stars theatre with precision.
A compact footprint and a tall, narrow envelope demanded an approach that prioritised circulation and sightlines. We turned the vertical condition into an advantage, stacking experiences floor by floor and using mirrored planes to connect them visually. Structural rhythm,cast-iron columns and deep beams. Embraced rather than concealed, becoming a graphic framework for lighting and branding.
“Edge + Afterglow.” Edge defines the high-intensity zones; Afterglow sets the tone for recovery and social time.
The two moods are threaded together by a calibrated system of reflective surfaces, smoked mirrors, polished black, and high-sheen metallics,paired with a fully addressable LED scheme. Scenes can pivot from electric blue intensity to warm, low-tempo amber in seconds, shaping emotion as much as illumination.
Charcoal, smoked bronze, satin brass and pale stone,delivers contrast between intensity and calm. Touchpoints are deliberately robust: knurled hardware, stone thresholds and furniture with rounded profiles for safety. Branding lives in relief and light rather than print, keeping the environment premium and timeless.
Saints & Stars City Gem feels less like a gym and more like a private club for people who train hard and recover well. By using mirror and light as architectural tools, rather than decoration. We enlarged the volumes, clarified movement and encoded the brand’s charisma into the building itself. The result is a five-floor experience that carries members from street to summit and back again, every visit a show with a standing ovation finish.
